Beth Anderson is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from Ursuline Academy. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education – Mathematics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Beth began her teaching career at the Tatnall School and then took some time away from the classroom to raise her three children. Beth spent the last fifteen years at Tower Hill School teaching Pre-Algebra (standard and honors level), Algebra (standard and honors level) and Geometry.
Over her twenty-year teaching career, Beth has earned a reputation for her organization, preparation and clarity that allows her to present well-structured and informative lessons for her students. She transitions seamlessly from one concept to another, making valuable connections between topics with ease.
In a recent evaluation of Beth’s teaching, her division head wrote, “another signature strength is her ability to meet students where they are and raise them to a higher level, both in math achievement and interest. Beth’s rapport with students is cordial, warm and encouraging. Above all, it is evident that Beth takes great pride in her teaching, connecting with students and providing a receptive environment that is conducive to learning.”
